After more than 25 years of writing about food, wine and travel for the San Diego Union and the Union-Tribune, I’ve decided to get with the times and join the clever folks who share their food and wine experiences on the Web.
I hesitate to use the word blog, since I’m still not sure exactly what that is. But I plan to write frequently, discussing trends, cooking adventures, dining destinations, tips, travels, frustrations, and the fascinating people I meet. And I hope to hear back from all the savvy souls out there who can tell me about the next donut, dim sum or destination that I’m going to flip over.
Maybe you call that a blog. I call it entertainment. And hopefully indispensable.
Thank you for bringing Matters of taste. I have not followed your 25 years career but at least 10 of them. I just read your "new news" and enjoyed it very much.
I agree about the oil... you do not make pancakes with olive oil...NO WAY.
